We are now proud sponsors of Timperley Villa FC’s girls’ development squad! We’ve provided the girls with their kit, and we’re helping out with their marketing needs. Come on the girls!
The team, part of Timperley Villa YFC, consists of ten girls aged 7 – 12, who currently hold winter training every Monday evening at Blessed Thomas Holford School in Altrincham.
The girls play, come rain or shine, and have already shown great commitment to getting the team off the ground. They are now looking for more players to allow them to train against each other and increase their skill and experience.
Gary Sullivan manages the girls’ team, and he commented: “Our training sessions are for girls aged seven and older, and take place in a safe and structured environment. The sessions are fun and enjoyable and coaching is for all abilities; whether girls have never played before or have lots of experience”.
The girls’ coach, Ged Stevens, is a certified FA coach from SIS Training and he takes the girls through their paces each week. The team is also fortunate enough to train regularly at Manchester United’s Carrington training ground, and it’s always a full turnout from the girls who are 100% dedicated to their football and never miss a session!
Timperley Villa is affiliated to the Cheshire FA, so girls and their parents can be assured of high standards.
